Ah, fall! The leaves are changing colour, it’s finally cold and damp outside, and I’ve again started studying humanist bookhand.

To say that humanist is my favourite script would be a complete lie. I am just as in love with it as I am with bone, versals and the ever-faithful neuland, but humanist is fresh and clean and everyday, and it reminds me of school, and apples, and the warm steam that emerges from your throat in the cold.

Calligraphy is a luxury I’ve missed for a year, I am so pleased and excited to again immerse myself in the joy of lettering.
